A relaxing 8.6 mile paddle down the Kankakee River will be followed by a trip to Jasper-Pulaski Fish and Wildlife Area where we'll witness one of America's greatest wildlife spectacles: tens of thousands of sandhill cranes visiting the shallow marshes on their annual migration. Don't forget your binoculars and a camera!

Paddlers are required to wear properly secured life jackets while on the water and the consumption of alcohol is not allowed during the event. Water temperatures are low, so it is a very good idea to bring a change of clothes inside a sealed bag or container in the event of capsize.
